We keep the submissions and the Blog on separate websites. You can visit the blog here.

What kind of music can I submit?

We accept music from any genre, but we only accept high-quality music. Any submissions containing demos or poorly recorded music, bad images, broken links, or missing a biography will immediately be removed by our editor. Remember we only review unsigned and independent music. So if you represent a major label artist, jog on.

When should I submit my music?

We recommend you submit your music a week before release day, that gives us time to listen and write. But don't worry, if your music is already out, it's fine to still submit it. After all, if we haven't heard it, it's still new music! Please note we only publish released music that is available on Spotify or Bandcamp as we like to embed the players to help drive streams and income.

When your music features on the Right Chord Music blog we work hard to ensure people see it and hear it.

What's the role of a music blog?

The primary role of a music blog is a credible, third-party endorsement. It’s your chance to say to the world – “look someone other than my Mum loves our music!” Turning listeners into fans takes time and typically people need to know your name before they listen to your music. We’ll shout your name from our socials and optimise our content for SEO, so if people search your name they will find positive affirmation about the quality of your music.

Where else is my content shared?

The content we share on the RCM Blog is also shared across our social media channels. You can find us @rightchordmusic on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Linkedin. Please note, not every review is shared across every channel.

How will I know if my music has been featured?

The writer will be in touch, and we will also tag you in social media posts, so you won't miss it.

How long does the review stay online?

Forever, unless there is a very good reason to take it down. This means the blog post will continue to pick up views every year, and the more people that search, the more people find.

How do I get on one of your Right Chord Music playlists?

If we love your music, we will add you. We don't charge you, this is purely an editorial decision. You can discover our playlists here.

How many people write for Right Chord Music?

We currently have 33 freelance writers reviewing for Right Chord Music. In addition to our own team of writers, your submission can also be seen by the members of the RCM Indie Collective which includes other blogs, playlisters, live promoters and radio DJs.
